LGI HISTORY

LGI was conceived by the Holy Spirit and birthed upon the heart of Rev. Dr. Rebecca Mina Navarro-Palomo on July 10, 2002. At that time, she was a pastor of the 14-year old prophetic-prayer ministries of Cosmopolitan Church (a member of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines), and taking up her doctorate in ministry at the Union Theological Seminary, Philippines. God spoke to Pastor Mina through Jesus’ parable of the small mustard seed that grew to be the largest tree in the garden where birds come to be strengthened and refreshed. We believe that every mustard seed secret we learned from the Holy Spirit (no matter how small) can become a source of strength to many.

God’s call to this ministry came as early as year 2000 through the prophetic visions of Pastor Mina’s Cosmopolitan Church prayer partners, then Elder Cris Navarro, Pastor Bernie Morales, Pastor Bing Dakanay and Ms. Ofel Gegantoni. On July 4, 2003, LGI held its first Board meeting and was incorporated on December 1, 2003.
